Bakkt shares increased dramatically by 40% after announcing that Mike Alfred joined its board of directors. Alfred, known for founding Digital Assets Data, is currently managing partner at Alpine Fox and involved with Bitcoin mining firm Iren, with Bakkt looking to secure 1 billion USD for its Bitcoin strategy.
