After former Chairman Nguyen Ho Nam of Bamboo Capital was prosecuted, shares of BCG, BCR, BGE, and TCD plummeted, with many hitting the floor with buyers absent. Notably, BCG saw over 71 million stocks offered for sale at the floor, amounting to approximately 8% of the total shares in circulation. Following the prosecution announcement on February 28, 2025, Bamboo Capital stated that Nam had resigned as of April 27, 2024. Related companies such as BCG Land, BCG Energy, and Tracodi also reported internal prosecutions. Additionally, stocks related to the Bamboo Capital ecosystem suffered substantial declines. On February 25, the Hanoi Stock Exchange temporarily halted trading of bonds from BCG Land and Helios upon request from authorities, due to their close ties with Bamboo Capital.
