Bank of England and HM Treasury respond to digital pound consultation
The Bank of England (the Bank) has published their response to the consultation on a digital pound.
No final decision has been made to pursue a digital pound – also called a central bank digital currency (CBDC). Work will continue during the design phase exploring its feasibility and potential design choices.
