Cryptographic assets and digital assets are becoming a global investment trend, including in Vietnam. Following the National Assembly’s approval of the Digital Technology Industry Law, many securities companies, such as VIXEX and TCEX, have emerged in this market. SSI has also established SSI Digital to collaborate with digital asset companies in developing the digital financial infrastructure. Military Commercial Bank (MB) partnered with Dunamu to establish Vietnam’s first domestic digital asset exchange. The Ministry of Finance is drafting a resolution on digital asset transactions, requiring a minimum capital of 10 trillion VND for operating organizations. Vietnam is expected to have 5 licensed exchanges connected internationally to enhance liquidity. Statistics predict that by 2024, 10.15 million Vietnamese will hold digital asset accounts, which is five times higher than in 2019. Vietnam continues to rank in the top five countries with the highest acceptance of digital assets.
