VietinBank is expected to distribute a stock dividend of 44.64%, equivalent to nearly 2.4 billion shares, with a total issuance value of 23.971 trillion VND. The funding will come from retained earnings from 2021, 2022, and the period from 2009 to 2016. Following this issuance, VietinBank’s charter capital will increase to 77.671 trillion VND, and these funds will be used for infrastructure investment, technology upgrades, and service development. If approved, this will be the highest dividend distribution rate in the bank’s history. In 2023, the bank distributed a dividend of 11.74%; in 2021, it was 29%. For the 2024 profit plan, VietinBank has achieved 24.259 trillion VND after tax and plans to distribute this entirely as dividends. The bank also aims for total asset growth of 5-10% by 2025, while keeping the bad debt ratio under 1.8%.
