Bill Gates accuses Elon Musk and DOGE of ‘killing’ children with USAID cuts

Bill Gates has accused Elon Musk of causing detrimental impacts to the world’s poorest children through USAID funding cuts. He warns that failing to reverse these cuts may endanger up to 2 million lives due to critical shortages in food and medicine.

Musk’s DOGE has restructured USAID by significantly reducing operations, resulting in layoffs and program cancellations. The federal human resources office linked to DOGE is reportedly launching software to accelerate government layoffs.

Despite overlapping objectives, Musk’s initiatives, such as Starlink, diverge from USAID’s humanitarian focus. These technologies enhance communication in crisis situations, illustrating complexities in modern aid dynamics.
