On June 27, billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong transferred 87.56 million VIC shares to VinSpeed for investment purposes, valued at over 8 trillion VND. VinSpeed now holds 135.6 million VIC shares, accounting for 3.5% of Vingroup’s capital. Earlier, he transferred 70.6 million shares to VinEnergo, which owns 2.72% of Vingroup’s equity. Vuong retains nearly 450 million Vingroup shares, while his controlled companies hold about 1.8 billion shares, totaling more than 206 trillion VND. VinEnergo, with his two sons as shareholders, will invest in the LNG thermal power plant project in Hai Phong from 2025-2030. VinSpeed is also set to invest in the North-South high-speed rail project, with a total investment of nearly 1.6 trillion VND, responsible for arranging 20% of the total investment.
