Hoa Phat has just received the bulk carrier The Momentum with a capacity of 110,000 DWT, the largest ship in the group, serving the expansion of the fleet and increasing production at the Dung Quat Steel Complex. The ship is operated by Hoa Phat Maritime Transport Company, allowing a 40% increase in cargo volume compared to the Kamsarmax vessel. The Momentum is designed to operate on international shipping routes and can dock at deep-water ports like Dung Quat, which is crucial for receiving raw materials for Hoa Phat’s steel plants. Mr. Doan Quang Thinh stated that the investment in this ship responds to actual operational needs and enhances port efficiency. Hoa Phat’s long-term plan is to develop the fleet to 15 to 20 vessels, focusing on large ships to serve internal needs and provide services to partners.
