Changpeng Zhao, previously Binance’s CEO, discussed the potential of refunding the $4.3 billion fine imposed during the exchange’s settlement with U.S. Authorities. He emphasized that while the discussion is sensitive, no formal refund request exists.
CZ noted that any potential refund would be reinvested in the U.S. As a gratitude gesture. Given his resignation from the CEO position, he clarified that he cannot officially represent Binance in these discussions.
