Bitcoin mining profits reach lowest level in 14 months due to winter storm disruptions

The Bitcoin mining profitability index stands at 21, the lowest in over a year. This decline is exacerbated by a severe winter storm affecting mining operations, resulting in a substantial reduction in daily revenues.

Bitcoin’s price fell to 83,956 USD, reflecting a 33% drop from its peak. Publicly traded miners have also experienced double-digit declines in their stocks over the past week.
