Brazilian lawmakers proposed allocating 5% of the budget to a Bitcoin reserve fund, about 18.5 billion USD. The bill needs approval from Brazil’s Lower House and Senate before being sent to the President. Bitcoin is increasingly seen as an economic safeguard globally.
