Bitget obtains Bulgarian virtual asset license in EU expansion move

Bitget has secured a Virtual Asset Service Provider license from Bulgaria’s National Revenue Agency, enabling it to operate a crypto exchange and related services. This license aligns with the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets framework, emphasizing Bulgaria as a strategic gateway for the company’s growth in Europe.

According to Bitget’s Chief Legal Officer Hon Ng, compliance with local regulations is essential for their expansion. Bitget has recently received regulatory approvals in countries like Poland, Italy, and the U.K., positioning itself as a leading crypto exchange in the European market.
