On January 28th, Forgotten Runiverse confirmed it will cease operations as the latest crypto game facing financial challenges. Built on the Ethereum scaling network Ronin, the free-to-play game will shut down its servers although all account data will be retained.
The development team plans to explore future opportunities, indicating that they have not abandoned the project. Originally part of the NFT initiative ‘Forgotten Runes Wizard’s Cult’, it attracted notable investments from high-profile backers.
