Brazilians may soon need to stump up taxes on crypto held abroad

The Senate of Brazil has ratified new income tax regulations, imposing a 15% tax on earnings from crypto held on foreign exchanges.

 

These regulations, if sanctioned by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, could go into effect as early as January 1, 2024.
