Metaplanet, based in Tokyo, aims to secure 5.4 billion USD to purchase 210,000 BTC by 2027. The firm plans to hold 100,000 BTC by 2026, solidifying its status as Asia’s leading corporate Bitcoin holder, and has already reached 88.8% of its 10,000 BTC target for 2025.
The CEO of Metaplanet, Simon Gerovich, shared that they will issue up to 555 million additional shares to fund this initiative. Metaplanet’s stock has shown impressive growth, rallying over 213% recently, demonstrating strong investor interest.
