British Airways has reported an impressive 86% reduction in cancellations and delays thanks to the implementation of AI technology. This achievement marks a significant turnaround for the airline, which aims to restore its reputation.
A substantial investment of £100 million in AI systems, along with the hiring of an additional 600 staff at Heathrow, has played a pivotal role in improving British Airways’ operational efficiency and response to challenges.
CEO Sean Doyle highlighted that despite encountering unavoidable disruptions, the airline’s strategy has evolved, significantly benefiting from AI integration. The upcoming summer travel period will be a further test of these operational advancements.
