Hoa Phat shares (HPG) reached their highest level since mid-March 2022, due to strong Q2 business results with revenues of 35.9 trillion VND, a decrease of 9.2% year-on-year, but after-tax profit still rose by 28.5% to 4.3 trillion VND. For the first half of the year, total revenue reached 74 trillion VND, and after-tax profit was 7.6 trillion VND, accounting for 43% and 51% of the annual plan respectively. It is forecasted that in the second half of the year, Hoa Phat will benefit from rising steel prices due to the recovery of domestic demand and international markets. SSI Research predicts that total revenue for 2025 will be 171 trillion VND, and after-tax profit will be 17.1 trillion VND. Notably, revenue for the second half of 2025 is expected to reach 97 trillion VND, with after-tax profit of 9.5 trillion VND.
