Vitalik Buterin revealed a roadmap intending to improve block production speed, targeting a slot time reduction from 12 seconds to 2 seconds. This aims to create a more responsive Ethereum ecosystem.
The roadmap also aims to enhance transaction finality from around 16 minutes down to 6-16 seconds, reflecting overall advancements in Ethereum’s infrastructure over the next four years.
