The Lazarus Security Lab’s report reveals 16 major blockchains have fund freezing functions, and 19 others can implement them with slight modifications. The three identified types include hard-coded, configuration-based, and contract-based freezing.
Sui managed to freeze 162 million USD in stolen assets, while BNBChain protected funds from a major attack totaling 570 million USD. David Zong emphasized that transparency in these mechanisms is key to enhancing industry trust.
