Qian Zhimin is the main suspect in a major money laundering case involving 60,000 Bitcoins, purchased at 2,815 yuan each. The price increased dramatically to 750,000 yuan by sentencing.

The Tianjin Public Security Bureau is working with UK authorities to recover stolen assets. A hearing on the disposal of the Bitcoins is scheduled for November 17, 2025.
