Caroline Ellison moves to community confinement ahead of 2026 release

Caroline Ellison, a key figure in the FTX collapse, has transitioned from federal prison to community confinement after 11 months. She is under federal custody, scheduled for release on February 20, 2026, nearly nine months before her original sentence.

As the CEO of Alameda Research, Ellison oversaw significant trading operations and admitted to misusing billions in customer funds. She pleaded guilty to fraud and conspiracy, testifying against FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried, who is currently serving a 25-year sentence.
