Cboe BZX Exchange has proposed amending Rule 19.3 to enable options trading on spot Ethereum ETFs, positioning itself competitively with a pending proposal from NYSE American.
Recently, spot Ethereum ETFs reached significant trading volumes, hitting $1.5 billion in a single day, showcasing growing interest amid a market downturn.
This trading option could offer investors lower-cost exposure to spot ether and serve as a hedging tool, following the successful launch of options for spot Bitcoin ETFs.
