On May 13, Vinpearl (VPL) officially listed on HoSE with a value of $6 billion, marking its return after the impact of the Covid pandemic. CEO Dang Thanh Thuy stated that Vinpearl aims to create more offerings for the stock market and boost the recovery of the tourism sector. He highlighted three elements: 1) A breakthrough from the recovery of Vietnam’s tourism industry, with a significant increase in international visitors. 2) Vinpearl’s internal strength with 48 facilities across 18 provinces. 3) The market’s need for large, transparent companies allows Vinpearl to access quality capital. Thuy also emphasized that prior restructuring has better prepared the company for the future. Vinpearl aims to become a leading company in tourism and entertainment in the region, but also recognizes the challenges in human resource development and maintaining service quality.
