At the Annual General Meeting on April 25, Sacombank presented a plan to invest in a securities company to increase revenue and competitiveness. The bank intends to invest up to 1.5 trillion VND to hold over 50% of the capital in the securities company. Currently, Sacombank is the largest shareholder of SBS Securities with an ownership rate of nearly 13.8%. However, CEO Nguyen Duc Thach Diem confirmed that the bank will not acquire SBS and will instead choose suitable securities companies for investment. The business plan for 2025 projects total assets to increase by 10% to 819.8 trillion VND, loans to rise by 14%, and pre-tax profit to grow by 15%. STB shares are currently adjusting slightly to 39,600 VND/share, with a market capitalization of approximately 74.6 trillion VND.
