The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission plans to release guidelines shortly for the compliant implementation of crypto perpetual contracts and to support the launch of professional-grade futures in the country.
Highlighting past issues with liquidity moving offshore, the CFTC is collaborating with the SEC on Project Crypto and will offer near-term guidance for DeFi developers and prediction markets.
