OpenAI’s ChatGPT services experienced a global partial outage on Tuesday, with users reporting increased error rates and slow performance following updates to its Advanced Voice Mode and translation features.
By 11 AM UTC, OpenAI confirmed impact across 14 APIs, 4 incidents in Sora, and 21 ChatGPT components. Over 1,000 complaints were noted in the UK and about 500 in the US, mainly regarding the web version.
This outage follows similar incidents in 2025, indicating a recurring issue during system upgrades, raising concerns about stability amidst feature enhancements.
