China consumer prices in May fell for the fourth time this year

China’s consumer prices have now decreased for four consecutive months, beginning the year with a 0.1% decline in May, raising concerns about deflation due to ineffective stimulus efforts.

Tensions in trade relations with the U.S. Also affect prices and economic policies. There are calls for the automotive sector to discontinue price wars which negatively impact profitability.
