China sentences four individuals in crypto money laundering case

The People’s Court of Longjing sentenced four individuals for laundering 789,000 RMB through gold and unlicensed crypto platforms, with prison terms from one to two years and fines reaching 20,000 RMB.

This ruling reflects China’s intensified anti-money laundering stance, which experts suggest may impact international regulatory frameworks, underlining the importance of blockchain forensics in tracing illicit activities.
