Coinbase says it’s working with DOJ to investigate hack of customer data

Coinbase confirmed its cooperation with the U.S. Department of Justice following a cyber-attack that compromised customer data.

The attackers demanded $20 million in Bitcoin as ransom, while Coinbase’s CEO countered with a similar bounty for information on the criminals.

Despite the breach, Coinbase stated that customer accounts remain secure, with no funds or private keys affected.
