Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin and others back Ryan due to his strong technical background and leadership experience, calling for new energy in the Foundation’s direction.
Concerns about leadership inefficiencies have been voiced by the community, with Ryan being the only candidate. Vitalik Buterin has asserted his role in selecting the next leader until further governance reforms are implemented.
