Connecticut orders Kalshi, Robinhood, and Crypto.com to halt sports betting operations

Connecticut’s Department of Consumer Protection recently issued injunctions against three companies, namely Robinhood, Kalshi, and Crypto.com, for purportedly conducting unlicensed online gambling related to sports events.

These companies lack the required state gambling licenses, thereby breaching state laws, and must cease their operations immediately as mandated by the state.

The state has highlighted the possibility of facing civil or criminal penalties for these violations, despite the companies asserting regulation by the federal CFTC.
