Bybit’s CEO, Ben Zhou, has noted that their platform alone accounted for liquidations exceeding 2.1 billion USD, suggesting that total market liquidations might be much higher, with estimates reaching up to 10 billion USD.
This surge in liquidations occurred amidst rising concerns over a potential global trade war following tariff increases imposed by President Donald Trump, highlighting the intertwining of cryptocurrency market fluctuations with broader economic developments.
