Czech government hit with no-confidence vote over 45 million USD Bitcoin scandal

The Czech Republic’s main opposition party accused the government of corruption, linked to a 45 million USD Bitcoin auction from a convict. Justice Minister Pavel Blazek resigned following public outcry, and the opposition is demanding an investigation into the legality of the transaction.

The auction of nearly 500 BTC raised alarms, with reports that winners are seeking refunds. New Justice Minister Eva Decroix pledged cooperation in the investigations, highlighting the urgency of resolving the legal and procedural questions surrounding the Bitcoin sale.
