Dozens of ‘big players’ on the stock exchange terminate contracts with an industrial park: What’s about to happen?

The Bien Hoa 1 industrial park, housing major enterprises like Sovi, Bibica, and Cadivi, is set to relocate due to the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee’s decision to convert its function to an urban-commercial-services area. Many companies have announced the termination of land lease contracts with Sonadezi Corporation and must complete liquidation procedures by July 15, 2025. At the end of June 2025, Sonadezi will stop providing infrastructure services at the industrial park from August 1, 2025. This decision aims to address long-standing pollution issues, as the area has been listed as a pollution hotspot for many years. The conversion is considered necessary after the industrial zone has operated since 1963 and can no longer meet modern requirements.
