Dozens of ‘big players’ on the stock market terminate contracts with an industrial zone: What will happen next?

Binh Hoa 1 Industrial Zone, home to many large enterprises, will cease operations due to a decision to convert into an urban and commercial area. Companies like Bien Hoa Packaging JSC (Sovi), Bibica JSC, Vietnam Electrical Cable Company (Cadivi), and Southern Basic Chemicals JSC (Sochem) have received relocation notices. Sonadezi, the managing corporation of the industrial zone, has announced it will halt infrastructure services from August 1, 2025, and has requested businesses to complete contract liquidation procedures by July 15, 2025. This transformation aims to improve the environment and tackle longstanding pollution issues in the area. The government approved this decision in 2021 due to the outdated infrastructure of the industrial zone that no longer meets current demands.
