Dozens of major companies on the stock exchange terminate contracts with an industrial park: What is about to happen?

Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park, home to many large enterprises, is in the process of relocating due to the decision from the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee to convert the area into an urban-service-commercial zone. Many companies such as Bien Hoa Packaging Corporation (Sovi), Bibica Corporation, and Vietnam Electrical Cable JSC (CADIVI) have announced plans to move their factories from Bien Hoa 1 to other industrial zones. According to the plan, all businesses must complete their land lease termination procedures and relocate by August 1, 2025, to implement the conversion project. The industrial park has been in operation since 1963 but is criticized for environmental pollution, and this conversion is deemed necessary to improve the situation.
