Dozens of major companies on the stock exchange terminate contracts with an industrial park: What is about to happen?

The Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park has announced the termination of land leases with various major companies such as Sovi, Bibica, CADIVI, and CSV due to plans to convert the industrial area into an urban-trade zone. This decision will take effect on August 1, 2025, requiring companies to quickly complete contract terminations and relocate their factories by July 15, 2025. The primary reason for this transformation is the serious pollution and outdated infrastructure of the industrial park, an issue highlighted for decades. Although plans have been in place for a long time, executing the transition faced many challenges. In 2021, the government approved the removal of this industrial park from the national development plan. This conversion is expected to improve the environment and enhance land value in Bien Hoa.
