On September 21, Vietjet officially received the first Boeing 737-8 aircraft from its order of 200 aircraft worth USD 25 billion in Seattle, with the presence of President Luong Cuong. Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Vietjet Chairwoman, stated that this is an important milestone in the cooperation between the airline and Boeing and symbolizes the Vietnam-U.S. relationship. The new aircraft will enhance customer experience and expand the airline’s global network. Stephanie Pope, CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, also emphasized that this event marks the beginning of future deliveries and reaffirms the strong partnership between the two parties.
