El Salvador adds Bitcoin, but is complying with IMF deal — Director

In the past week, El Salvador acquired 7 Bitcoin (BTC) worth more than 650,000 USD, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to cryptocurrency despite IMF regulations.

IMF director Rodrigo Valdes confirmed that El Salvador continues to comply with the non-accumulation agreement, although opportunities for non-governmental Bitcoin purchases still exist.
