Ethereum’s average gas fees plummeted 95% post-Dencun upgrade, launching on March 13, 2024. Fees reduced from 86 USD to 0.39 USD, while average NFT sales dropped from 145 USD to 0.65 USD.
Despite lower transaction costs, Ether (ETH) experienced a 53% price decrease, from over 4,070 USD during the upgrade to around 1,895 USD in March 2025.
