Ethereum’s next major upgrade, the Fusaka hard fork, is planned for November. This upgrade aims to improve efficiency and scalability, incorporating 11 key Ethereum Improvement Proposals. A public testnet for Fusaka will debut in late September.
Developers propose increasing Ethereum’s gas limit to 150 million. Some features, like EIP-7907, were removed to expedite testing. This upgrade will coincide with the Glamsterdam hard fork planned for 2026.
Concerns have been raised about meeting deadlines for the Fusaka launch. Developer Nixo emphasized the need for a tight timeline ahead of the Devconnect event scheduled for November 17-22.
