The FBI foiled a kidnapping plot against a Miami jeweler intended to seize 2 million USD in cryptocurrency. A confidential informant tipped off authorities about the planned abduction on January 13, leading to the arrest of four suspects after FBI operatives infiltrated the group.
The ringleader “Jack” coordinated through a Telegram chat and indicated that group members would be armed with firearms during the abduction attempt. FBI surveillance included a bugged vehicle that helped in capturing the suspects as they executed their plan.
