On October 9, 2025, the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of metro line 2, section Nam Thăng Long – Trần Hưng Đạo, took place at Xuân Đỉnh Depot, Hanoi. This is an important national project developed in cooperation with Japan, with a length of 10.84 km, including both elevated and underground sections, and 10 stations. Xuân Đỉnh Depot will serve as a maintenance center and promote smart urban development.
FECON Corporation (FCN) was selected for the foundation treatment package at the Depot worth nearly 200 billion VND, lasting 499 days. This is an important initial step affirming FECON’s capacity in infrastructure and underground construction.
The project focuses not only on transportation but also on sustainable urban connectivity with TOD models. According to planning, Hanoi aims to complete 8 metro lines totaling about 130 km by 2030, meeting 25-30% of passenger transport demand and reducing congestion.
