Fed’s Logan: No interest rate cuts needed this week or in December

On October 31, Federal Reserve official Logan stated that there should be no interest rate cuts this week or December, citing a generally balanced labor market and inflation expected to remain above 2%.

Logan emphasized that without clear evidence of faster inflation decline or a quicker cooling labor market, she finds it challenging to support further rate cuts. She believes the economic situation is stable.
