Vietnam’s stock market is experiencing significant growth with the VN-Index reaching 1,654 points and the total market capitalization nearing 9 trillion VND. Notably, there are 23 stocks with a capitalization exceeding 100 trillion VND, including 10 banks: Vietcombank, BIDV, VietinBank, Techcombank, VPBank, MB, ACB, LPBank, HDBank, and Sacombank, which dominate both in number and value within this group. Recently, the government has made moves to expand credit room from 2026 and reduce the reserve requirement for weaker banks. Additionally, banks like VPBank and Techcombank are entering the blockchain sector, collaborating and planning to IPO their brokerage subsidiaries. Digital assets are becoming a global investment trend, and Vietnam will focus on developing this sector in the future.
