The Flow Foundation confirmed the removal of 87.4 billion counterfeit FLOW tokens, executed on-chain by the community governance committee. This procedure aligns with their recovery plan and marks a successful resolution of their security incident.
Following the incident on December 27, 2025, validator nodes implemented security patches within 24 hours. The Flow network is now functioning normally with enhanced security measures ensuring its integrity.
With the issues resolved, the Flow community is now shifting focus towards expanding its ecosystem and product development while ensuring the stability of its Core DeFi protocols, which processed over 3 million transactions last week.
