In 2024, businesses owned by 6 Vietnamese billionaires contributed 112 trillion VND to the state budget, exceeding the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) which contributed 77.4 trillion VND. Leading businesses include Vingroup (Pham Nhat Vuong) with 56 trillion VND, THACO (Tran Ba Duong) with 23.7 trillion VND, Hoa Phat (Tran Dinh Long) with 13.4 trillion VND, Techcombank (Ho Hung Anh) with 6.8 trillion VND, and Masan Group (Nguyen Dang Quang) with 4.8 trillion VND. HDBank and Vietjet Air, led by Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, contributed 6 trillion VND and 1.15 trillion VND, respectively. This is the first time that the PRIVATE 100 and VNTAX 200 rankings have been announced, recognizing budget contributions from private and state-owned enterprises. This reflects the maturity of private enterprises in supporting economic development and social responsibility.
