For the first time in history, companies owned by 6 Vietnamese billionaires contributed 112 trillion VND to the state budget, surpassing the state-owned giant PVN

In 2024, businesses of 6 Vietnamese billionaires contributed over 112 trillion VND to the state budget, exceeding the contribution of PetroVietnam (PVN), which was nearly 77.4 trillion VND. Leading the ranking is Vingroup of billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, contributing over 56 trillion VND. This is a result of the “PRIVATE 100” and “VNTAX 200” project announced by CafeF to honor the largest contributing private and state-owned enterprises to the budget. Thaco of billionaire Tran Ba Duong ranks second with 23.7 trillion VND, and Hoa Phat contributed over 13.4 trillion VND. Techcombank and Masan also reported significant contributions of 6.8 trillion and 4.8 trillion VND, respectively. HDBank and Vietjet Air, led by billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, also saw substantial increases in their budget contributions.
