For the first time in history, the enterprises of 6 Vietnamese billionaires contribute 112 trillion VND to the state budget, surpassing the state giant PVN

In 2024, businesses owned by 6 Vietnamese dollar billionaires contributed more than 112 trillion VND to the state budget, significantly higher than the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) with about 77.4 trillion VND. These companies include Vingroup, THACO, Hoa Phat, Techcombank, Masan Group, and Vietjet Air. Vingroup leads with 56 trillion VND, mainly from land use fees and taxes, followed by THACO with 23.7 trillion VND and Hoa Phat with over 13.4 trillion VND. Techcombank and Masan contributed 6.8 and 4.8 trillion VND, respectively. HDBank and Vietjet also had significant contributions, with HDBank increasing by 101% compared to the previous year. This year marks the first time CafeF has published the PRIVATE 100 and VNTAX 200 rankings to recognize companies that contribute significantly to the budget, enhancing the private sector’s role in economic development.
