The Vietnamese stock market is experiencing a significant growth phase, with the VN-Index reaching nearly 1,654 points. The total market capitalization has reached a record of about 9 trillion VND, with 23 stocks having a market capitalization of over 100 trillion VND. Notably, the banking sector accounts for 10 out of 23 names on this list, including Vietcombank, BIDV, VietinBank, Techcombank, VPBank, MB, ACB, LPBank, HDBank, and Sacombank. Bank stocks, especially private banks, have shown strong growth. Additionally, topics such as credit room and reserve requirements are drawing attention. The State Bank has proposed lifting growth rate targets starting 2026, and banks are also entering the blockchain and digital asset space, with plans for significant investments and development of cryptocurrency exchanges in Vietnam. Digital assets are becoming a hot investment trend and providing major opportunities for banks.
